Added some more lights to my lightbox so I don't have to use a flash anymore. I also got higher wattage bulbs to replace the ones I had before (100W) Tried out a rose. Going to take some pictures of some Whiskey I have later, and post those too.

Nice images.. My Girlfriend is going to be taking pictures of her roses that I got her for V day today.. I'm looking forward to seeing what she comes up with.

These are nice, but what's the point of more lights? Shutter speed should do the same thing?

Not necessarily. I got lights for the top, didn't have any before. Makes the image more evenly lit, and less shadows. Also, I don't have to use a flash, where as before I did.

I did have lights, but only one on each side. I added two more for the top. Before I was using a flash and bouncing it off the cieling of the box. That was sort of unwieldly, because I had to get the flash actually inside the box itself, which created some framing/focusing problems due to closeness of the lens.
