Bird coming out of the grass...

Last Sunday I was sitting in a hide near a small lake trying to shoot (photographically speaking) some ducks when I saw this guy coming out of the grass.

Unfortunately I don't know the name of the bird.

The bird looks like a Rail as they are called a reclusive species of wading type birds that work the edges of pinds and lakes I have no idea of the species you have over there though. The image is a little dark overall but you might be able to bring more details out in your image editing software with some more work on it.
