What they've pictured doesn't look like Canon's. Among other things, I don't see the Canon logo anywhere on it, the colour of the plastic looks wrong and Canon doesn't (or didn't on any of mine) put the key to the flashes around the LED like that one shows. It may be a clone, but I wouldn't expect it to be Canon. You can get chargers for the BP-511 from Sterlingtek (http://www.sterlingtek.com) for that price or less. They even include an auto adapter with theirs.

Having checked mine, all were bought new with the bodies and none have the canon logo as you say. Different Country mean differences?

You've got a different model. The North American models come with a self-storing plug and go directly into the wall. The Rest of the World (RoW) get one with a separate power cord to accommodate the different outlets in the different countries. The charger that came with my Canon USA Digital Rebel has the cord and the charge level indicators surrounding the LED as per your ROW version. The additional charger I purchased, also a Canon USA warranted item, is also of that style.
