I like the color one better.
That aircraft has just a gorgeous paint scheme.

B+W one looks too clean to be contemporary, maybe if you add some grain to it ...

Best regards,
Andy

Oh heck. I'll be the odd man out. I like the B&W treatment. It's a vintage aircraft, and the photo shoould look that way, too.

Depends on what you want to achieve with the photo I think. I would agree with belmondo on the vintage aircraft bit :) I like the B&W WW2 look on it :)

I really believe I had as many keepers with my old Brownie Hawkey as I do these days. Life was much simpler then.

IMHO, which at this point really is "H", I love the color one, and agree with the suggestion to age the bw pic. put a few wrinkles in it, touch it up with a ragged white frame around it, as if it were on a bulletin board somwhere.

This plane has some wear marks on it...

don't know how to do wrinkled paper or ragged white frame yet.. but tried the color and noise thing...

apologies for loading my pics...

Thanks for all the input. I like the color image on screen; but I think the Duotone looks better in print.

Good suggestion to add noise - I'll try that tonight.

I prefer the color version. The B&W may look more antique, but the color gives me a better feeling for what the plane looks like in real life. ;)
