Can someone tell me what I need to do to improve the quality of this picture? This is my daughter's All-Star team and this picture will be used to send to State.

I would maybe lighten and sharpen a bit. Other than that it is a really good shot.

I agree with Crusher, just a little tweaking will help out alot. It is too late to fix now without some in-depth PS work, but I think the background is cluttered and a little distracting

I worked and worked with the one above and came back pretty near where I started. If you have an original that's larger, you might be able to get sharper details, if that's what you want.

I tried color corrections, levels (bright/dark/gamma/contrast). A little more gamma
might help, but not much.
I couldn't sharpen it without degrading the picture.
It's not particularly noisy.

Thanks!

Tupe........if I email you the original can you see if you could improve the sharpness.

I guess I really should spend some quality time with the PS tutorials. :)

this seems like standard team photography at work; everyone looking at the camera, the field of play in the background, balanced...etc. Looks fine from here.

Sharpening should do the trick for the final touches.

I think I would clone out the football goal post.

At a minimum I would be tempted to clone out the goal post, and crop out the sky as my eye is constantly drawn to it.
