OMG, these are sooooooo cute! My personal favorites are #1, #4, and #5. I love the first b&w.....as usual there is something special about your b&w's. Great pictures..I'm sure the parents are gonna love these!

these are beautiful! Do you use a special kind of flash to get the color so bright and clear? Or is this all natural? What lens are you using?

Thankyou everyone :)

These were done in a clients home, I wasn't sure if I'd have good natural light, so I packed a strobe.

When I got there, there wasn't a suitable window or door I could use without the strobe, so I set up next to the best one I could find and set up the strobe.

So the lighting is a combination of both.

I used the 24-70 2.8L for some and the 85 1.2L for others.

My ISO stayed at 100, so I was happy.

what was your lighting

x1 window that only let light into the room - not on the subject, and a 500 watt strobe with umbrella.

Great pics! What did you prop the baby on? How do you get such a smooth look for whatever he/she is propped on?

thanks!

I'm using a blanket on a backdrop stand with a firm beanbag under it - the smoothness comes from good lighting and a aperture of 2.8, 1.8, or 1.2 - depending on my mood :)

Ok, the beanbag is the part I was trying to get at. :)

Where did you find that blanket? I need to find something like that.

Thanks so much!!

I bought the blanket from a homewares shop, it's just a light cream colour thick cotten knitted throw rug. :)
