Hello,
Keep getting an error 99 code on a D60. Searched the KB for the error and I keep running into a CF card problem. However, my woes seem to be a bit different.
I only get the error when I try to use the pop-up flash. When I don't use it or use an external flash I don't get the error.
It's starting to drive my boss nutty!
Is this thing headed to the repair shop?
TIA
Lawrence

Kukur, that is in the instruction manual.
"Err 99 Either turn off the main switch and turn it on again or remove and reinsert the battery pack."
"If a camera error occurs, 'Err xx' will be displayed on the LCD panel."
"If the same error occurs often, something is probably wrong with the camera. Jot down the 'xx' error code and take your camera to the nearest Canon Service Center."

Bob,
Sorry I haven't checked back earlier.
The error would occur even after taking the battery out and using the AC converter off the charging unit.
Of course it only does it occasionally.
Normally when the pop-up flash is raised the AF lamp will flash then the camera will take the picture.
When the error occurs, the lamp never flashes... I just get the error.
Sometimes turning it off works.... sometimes I want to see how far it will fly. :)
It is going to the service center this week.
Thanks
