It seems like ages since I've posted up a full wedding! Shot these a few weeks ago. There's a million more on the blog if you like -> Admiral Kidd Wedding Photos (http://bobbyearle.com/blog/admiral-kidd-point-loma-wedding-photos-full-post/)

I honestly can't believe that I was able to salvage numbers 4 and 5. My 45mm tilt wasn't communicating with my camera when I was over in Thailand/Cambodia a few months ago (http://bobbyearle.com/blog/category/rpte/). When I got home, I sent it to Canon. I checked for the issue (that I could change apertures), but didn't think to check for crazy softness (I was told by them that they checked for that). Now I know better. This thing was like taking your lens off and walking into a sauna just before you put it back on. These are the only two I was able to use from all of the shots with that lens. Luckily, I didn't shoot a ton with it that day :)

Loving the first three, wondering how a tighter crop would look on number one, but I like the style. :)

Do NOT like the selective blurring on four and five, although moreso on four because there doesn't appear to be any sharp focus.

:squints:

Could just be me though. ;)

Like number 7 as well. Some good shots!

edit: I read the comments on the tilt shift before posting. Totally. Yeah. :p

Beautiful pictures; #3 and #7 are my favourites. Sweet story about #3 too, definitely a moment they will treasure.

I was wondering how you got the focus purely on the bride and groom's faces in the individual portraits? Obviously it is large aperture, but do you get them to lean forward slightly to really throw their lower bodies OOF? It is a really nice effect - not sure I have good enough glass to attempt it though :)

I actually love tilt shift effect and wish I could afford the lens, but meanwhile I just recreate it in photoshop which of course is not the same...

Beautiful work of the dad's reaction photos!

Agree on the tilt-shift look :(...tricks the eye that the whole image appears slightly out-of focus., but if they love it, doesnt really matter what we think...;) love #3 & the last one

OIC, I didn't realise it was the lens. I quite like it in the context of those two shots.

These are great, Bobby :)
Love the dress shot.
I'm definitely gonna check out more on your blog tomorrow, since I am shooting a wedding at the same venue this summer... so now I can get some inspiration :)
Is it a pretty easy venue?

Awesome as always Bobby. I'm not always into tilt-shift, but I think you did well, I like them.

I remember you writing a blog on your PP, but I can't seem to find it. I'd love to see how you go about processing your images!

It's an interesting venue. Not a LOT to work with, but enough to where you don't feel empty handed :) I'm sure you'll KILL it!

Thanks!!! I'm still so freaking excited!!!
