This picture was obtained with my new 350D, the nifty fifty 50mm , a loupe handheld on top of the 50mm to get a macro and flash 420EX.
Shutter speed: 1/200, F11, ISO400
I spotted the wasp this morning while he was still sleeping ( hanging ), I took
some pictures like the other night and then warmed up by the sun he woke up
and flew away. I was lucky he came back to the bush and he was very steady doing some cleaning so I was able to focus manually the best I could.
The picture is an 100 percent crop of the original picture and on the upper left
another crop that shows the entire body.
Not bad , what can be done with an L ... oupe lens , but certainly not as good as what can be done with a true macro lens.
Hope you'll like it.
Jose
PS: Re-edited to add a gif animation made with a set of pictures.
