get a good lot of panning practice now my ef100-300 USM is working properly.

used RAW exclusivly for the first time, shot at croft this morning, out of 184 shots kept 157. any thoughts on leaving the default 25 sharpening in Adobe Bridge? or should i choose 0 and use photoshops USM all the way? to my eye 25 is a good starter and i only need around 100, 0.3, 0 to make it "pop".

may post more if it not to late. (ADDED K1200R pic below

These shots are easily 10x better than your first shots. That BWM bike is ugly :)

Newbie you may be, but you've got good shots. Post more, it's not often sidecars are posted. I remember them from my racing days (1979-1981) as the ones who took their brains out before every race, using Hillman imp (alloy engine) and Suzuki GT 750 2 stroke triple motors. We hated going out after them as there was always one that blow up leaving the contents of it's sump around the corner after Railway straight. Jolly good entertainment though.

Exit thanks for the thumbs up i feel a lot more confident now, some have suggested i sell my photos at the track but I do not want to take money out of the official photogs pocket, i would love to work with the photog supplying him images. I will be asking to give and take details to sell from the club and circuit if there is no official guy there. I basically have only 3 views at Croft (Complex, Tower and Chicane) and the official guy can get to some great spots, see KennyG and others posts.

sidecars and bikes were suprisingly interesting to shoot. I shot cars once when I was still on film (EOS 5). The way the riders move and everyriders seems to have subtle characters when cornering and braking. Sidecars are even more so. the way the dude at the back moves completly differs. I love cars but I am also warming to bikes. looks like I'll soon have to join other people on this forum and dig deep to buy an arsenal of "L"s.

langer when you do will you sell me your 28-105 if it's the canon metal mount F3.5?

love bikes but some of the car track days are great as there is such a variaty of types and talent.

Very nice! I hate to admit this, but I actually kind of like the BMW... I've been thinking about sanding down the shiny black tins on my Harley, and painting them flat black.

I think it's time to see someone with thoughts like that, LOL

yea sure, I will let u know when i sell up. It is metal mount.

torn between getting a 70-200 F4 L or save more to get a longer 300 L.

and some new shots at Brands Hatch last month:

I shot these mini's in RAW as spose to the side cars in JPEG. RAW gives much more opportunity in post poduction. it is a bit more work tho.

Very goods shots, that lime green one gave photoshop a bit of a test i bet.

is i me or is his back wheel off the ground?

look forward to you selling that 28-105.

300L prime would be nice, i would find it a bit of bind as most of my stuff can be done 200mm or under so a 70-200 F4 would be my choice. I am more than happy with the performace of my 100-300 USM F4.5 - 5.6. I stick to f6.3 up to 135 and 7.1 to 200 and get sharp enough shots. i love the fast autofocus speed. i think it will take a bit of time before my abilities get past this lens (not to add the depth of my pocket).

Yea this game can get pretty deep in the pocket haha. Been busy lately and not had much chance to shoot pics. Will try to go to Brands Hatch couple of weeks from now and get more motorsport pics.
