Hey guys, so tried my hand at taking a few pictures of a flower and then practicing some post processing in lightroom after. Dont have a flash so put it near a window to use the ambient sunlight which was diffused with a curtain. Sun was setting so the light wasn't very strong and kept going up the stem and the last shot (this one) ended up just having strong light around the top =/

What do you say to the actual original. No PP'ing done to it besides resizing to 1024 and just straight out of camera.

And then with the PP version the center of the flower sort of bugs me. Spent awhile trying to even out the highlighted portion since it kept blowing out and this was the best version i think of the bunch. But i think it still looks like one side is bright then the other in the middle and sort of looks uneven in proportion and sort of draws the eye to the right too much.

Anyways, open to comments and here they are, original followed by the edited one.

I think that the soft colors in this shot are what gives it interest. So I don't care for the PP work. You might try a tighter crop to draw attention to the colors, as in:

I see what you mean, the one that i took was the tightest of the shots that i took but with your crop it really makes the picture have a softer feel to it. I like it :) Thanks
