OK, here is my first picture post.
Took these pictures in Williams, AZ in mid-May. Unfortunately, they don't run steam until after Memorial Day, so had to settle for static shots.

Walt, I love your train shots. I have been a fan of trains all my life. I know that around Prescott AZ they have a train ride that people tell me is fantastic. My wife and I are planning a trip down to that area to ride the train. I just can’t remember the name of the town. I know that it isn’t far from Jerome AZ.

I think for the first one it would have looked great if you panned it, would have made it look like it was moving.
Still a nice shot though, the last one doesn't do much for me.

Nice.
It looks like the engine is fairly well preserved. I'd like to see it in action.

Grand Canyon Railroad runs steam from Memorial Day through Labor Day. One trip in each direction to the South Rim and Back. Only thing that was running when I was there was vintage Diesels. No photos, just video.Hope to get back during summer to see steam running.
Anthony, Williams AZ is right on I-40 west of Flagstaff, train leaves at 10 AM , arrives back at 5:30 PM.

Nice shots Walt. I LOVE these old Steam Locomotives, and have often thought about taking a ride on the one that goes to the South rim of the Grand Canyon. :D
