I took these on a trip to DC this past February. Hope you enjoy...

1. The Lincoln Memorial - with a beautiful blue sky.

2. The WWII Marine Memorial

4. I took this picture of the capitol near sunset. No matter how I crop it, it just doesn't look right to me, so this one is unaltered in any way.

5. Here is the reason for my trip, I wanted to take my father to see the Viet Nam Memeorial. In all, he knew 16 people who are listed on the wall - including several that were part of the battle depicted in the movie "We Were Soilders". This was a very emotional moment for my father. I'm glad I had my camera ready.

Beautiful, especially the last one. The wall and your dad's reflection make it a very moving photo.

Thanks,

One interesting note. In the last photo, if you look immediately to the right of the top of my father's head, you will see the name "John L. Geoghegan". In the movie "We Were Soilders" he was the Lieutenant (called "Jack" in the movie) whose wife had a baby right before they shipped out for Viet Nam. My father didn't know him, but knew several in similar situations.
