Rodeo Girl

My family and I went to our first rodeo yesterday and it was lots of fun....very colorful and lots of action. This young rider was riding around the ring holding the flag during the national anthem. I am playing around with the "glow" effect in picture 1.

Picture 2 is a little soft and cropped too tight, but I liked the way her hair was flowing as she was riding around the ring.

I love the determination on her face in the 2nd. My Sister has been a long time participant in the rodeo scene, competing in pagents and what not, to be a 'Rodeo Queen' It takes a lot of effort and skill to be the girl riding with the flag, and can be rather hazardous to ones health (horses HATE flags)
