The Canadian government has declared 2005 as the "Year of the Veteran" here in Canada. The local branch of the Canadian Legion, Branch #6 has asked me to design a postcard to commemerate this. The bottom portion of the picture is a mural that has been painted on the front of the legion hall, I took 3 frames and stiched them together to make the panorama view. The map of Italy in the upper right displays the route that the Canadian forces took during the second world war and is a crop of the mural below. I showed this to the Legion commitee today for the first time and they very happy with it. A lot of PS'ing involved in this picture. I'd appreciate your comments as well please.

Does it say "Year of the Veteran" on the back?

Yes it will. With a short description of the picture that they will provide for me.

What an honour! My grandfather fought in the Korean war...

I do have a few suggestions...

1. The map from the mural is slightly tilted to the right and the tilt is a little distracting...I might have even looked for a different map of italy or included something different.

2. I think the use of the Legion Logo twice isn't really needed. I think you would be better served making direct reference to "The Year of the Veteran." on the front so it distinguished this postcard from another "run of the mill" post card...

In parting I will leave you with an image that I took at the UN Cemetary in Busan, South Korea where over 300 of our soldiers are buried...

One logo is probably enough, but it's a fine looking job!

it looks like the top right frame sits a few pixels lower than the top left, otherwise awesome
