All the time, it is simple put your EIN and company name or if you don't have a Federal EIN you use your SSN, it is pretty standard when your shooting over $600 and dealing with businesses

If you're doing this, or any other kind of self employment for a living getting an EIN is a very good idea. Not only can you stop giving out your SSN, but it's used to establish business specific bank accounts, lines of credit etc.
You can sign up online at irs.gov and they will issue you an EIN within minutes. It can take up to 3 weeks for it to be fully linked into your records.

A W-9 is an IRS form that requests a taxpayers identification number. Usually so they can issue a 1099-Misc (a form that someone gives you specifying how much money they paid you throughout the year as a sub-contractor/non-employee) at year end.
EIN is an employer identification number.
SSN is a social security number. Hopefully if you live in the states you have one of these :)
