Yesterday was the first scrimmage game for my friend who is coaching a high school varsity baseball team. The fog was horrible. It would come and go, drop down to field level and then rise up to the tree tops. It was the most challenging day for me in years. I was happy with the timing of my shots and I know the lighting will get better as the season goes. Some of these were photographed very late in the game, so I had to bump my ISO way up. Enjoy.
#1 Lite fog in this one.

#2 This kid had a good game.

#3 The next 2 fames in this series were better in my opinion, but I cut off his arm in both. His body language was more exaggerated. That's what I get for so close with a big lens.

#4 On the fence about this one.

#5 I wish the bat was in this one, but he has a habit of throwing the bat behind him.

These were shot with the 1D2? The noise looks weird, even if it's 3200 my noise looks nothing like that. I like the shots otherwise ;)

+1 on that. Something funny happening, mainly red patches on faces that look strange.

Yes they were with the 1 D MK II. The fog was a huge problem as I noted on the top. It was 55°F at the start of the game. By the end it was in the 40's. They also were teanagers so most had zits. LOL. I was mostly using this to get warmed up for the season, and to get the parents and players used to me. Thanks for the compliment 10 megapixel.

Check out the dots on the helmet in #5. Is that part of the helmet design or noise/artifacts in the reflection? Reminds me of the posterization/pixellation artifacts when you reduce an image to GIF.

They are Gif. I didn't know how to save them for the web.

Wow. I didn't even think to check to see if they actually were GIF... haven't seen that used for photos for about 10-15 years.
What image software do you have? PC or Mac?
http://picasa.google.com and http://irfanview.com are both free and can resize and save for web (and a LOT more).

Zits was a joke. I see what you mean with the red.
