Yeah, it does well. I did a mountain of research before buying rig parts, and the boom is the icing on the cake.

are the rigs "homemade" or can you buy them

The major parts of the rig (suction cups, clamps, magic arm) are all available at photo stores like Adorama. The only part that isn't readily available is the boom, which is why I sell them :).

Wow, thanks for the compliment. In reality, I'm probably a 2 out of 10, until you get into the really big guys, like Ruji, then I'm a 0...haha. I do appreciate the kind words though :D.

I like those a lot, the car is nice and sharp, and everything else blurred enough to not take away from it at all. Good lighting as well

I never take set-up shots, which is terrible of me becuase I love them (especially the guys that use the lighting). Now that I have an iphone that'll change. The only thing I really have is a small unedited shot of my car in my driveway with the rig attached, then the finished product. Hope that's ok.

Various ways, usually the selection tool to grab a piece of sky or body from somewhere else, and a lot of clone-tool. It's frustrating if you try to do it quickly, but once you slow the process down you start to see that anything can be done if you're not in a hurry. Over time you'll get quicker at it, but it's still a lot of work.
If you get into rig-shots you can send me one to edit for you, I'll do the basics and tell you what I did :).

Some seriously nice shots there andrew.
I'd quite like to see a couple without the boom cloned out to see how much works involved though.
Always wanted to do this, but I'd just need to get myself a car worth taking pictures of haha ;)

It doesn't. I've been using CS5 for a week now. Life isn't any easier.

Have you used content awareness fill???
Yes extensively. It does not work as "GREAT" as adobe claims.
Even with Content Aware Fill, I'm still using my patch brush and clone stamp 90% of the time...

I agree with this, sometimes it works pretty well, other times not so much. I'm still learning to use it, so hopefully I can learn to use its strengths.
