Here are a couple of shots I took yesterday. I'm still learning the ways of the 20D and RAW! BRC

Great shots Vertigo. I just shot a hummingbird for the first time last weekend while visiting relatives in Northern Michigan. I didn't have my flash with me, but fortunately I had my 70-200/2.8. The first is uncropped; the second is cropped.

Ron, Very nice color!!
In the pictures I posted, the feeder was hanging under a white RV awning. I don't think I had quite enough light, on his back. I used a 100-400L, and prefocused. I was trying to find just the right DOF and Shutter speed, to freeze the wings. These pictures were taken above the South Fork of the Snake on the Idaho/ Wyoming border( Palisades Res.).
Thanks for sharing!

Excellent shots from both of you. The bird feeder is a brilliant idea, wish they were available here.
