In an odd case of one-upmanship, Saint Mary's University Huskies forward Mike Danton (24) and Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus forward Alexandre Soucy (14) have an impromptu game of rock-paper-scissors to determine who will be the last to leave the ice following the pre-game warm-up. Soucy won this round. But the Aigles Bleus would lose the game as Saint Mary's defeated Moncton by a score of 4-2 to sweep the best-of-three AUS quarter-finals series and eliminate the Aigles Bleus from the playoffs.

I saw this happen in the NHL once during the playoffs under the same circumstances as above. Both players had some weird superstition about being the last one off the ice. I can only remember one of the players involved though, Darren McCarty from the Red Wings. Darren won rock-paper-scissors that night and the other player left the ice first. The following game it was again down to the same two players. Darren respectfully left the ice first.

I think this is more agitation than superstition. Soucy likes to agitate and, considering the history Danton has...
