I love that you share the New England barns with those of us who once lived there and now reside elsewhere (and the rest who browse here). I always love looking at them.....thanks.

Thank you so much Maureen. I love searching them out and photographing them. They always pose nicely and they never talk back, one of my favorite subjects.   . I think the biggest treat is when you are just driving along one of the old back roads and stumble on a real gem.. Planning on a little trek to Vermont in a week or so, and I hope to catch some good ones up there.

OK here is a little tighter crop on the barn.

I also did one in B&W of the barn and of the shed.

I prefer the tighter crop myself. Love those ol' barns and houses and sheds!

I love all the old covered bridges in New Hampshire and Vermont. A lot of them are down bumpy old dirt roads but well worth it. Wish I could go with you for the photo shoot......

I'm on board with the other replies...I really like your subject matter! Have you tried to photograph the barn at sunrise or sunset? The milder morning or evening light could add more pleasing light to an already fantstic subject.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comments, I have done some early morning shots of barns, but not that many. Problem this year except for this week-end we have had very little morning sun, been very overcast. :(

Love the black and white of the old shed. I take a lot of pictures of old barns and buildings here in Arkansas. They are fascinating.
