Hi..
Greatings to everyone... I would like to ask people who has maybe both lens or have delt with any of above stated one. I know Canon lense would cost me over $1100.00-$1200.00 and SIgma brother (or sister) one would cost barely under $400.00-$500.00. Is it worth to buy Canon or Sigma will do the same? I intend shot portraits outdoors....
Thanks a lot to everybody in advance......

I feel sure that English is not your first language but you have done enough to get your point across. I think you would be very happy with the Sigma or Tamron 28-75. There is not the difference that the price would suggest.

if you're interested in looking at some side-by-side tests of these two lenses this may be helpful:

I considered both these lenses along with the Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 and decided on the 28-70 because it is a good deal smaller and lighter and produces similar results.
Hope this helps,

I myself decided on the Sigma 24-60 2.8. Much lighter than the 24-70, handier for a walkaround lens.

I've got the Sigma, mainly because of the price, its about 1/3 of the Canon L. I must say, for the few shoots taken, that is a nice little lens.

I don't know what all this talk about the 24-70 being so large is all about. To me, it is just the right size and is about the same size as the Canon version.

If you are referring to the Sigma, yes, its about the same size...

If size is a consern, the sigma 24-60 is much smaller and uses a smaller filter, so that would save you some bucks. The 24-60 is about the same size as the tamron 28-75.
