S40 Blank/White LCD

My LCD goes blank from time to time. It'll stay blank for a while. Then a couple days later, it will display normally. While blank, I can still shoot photos (just no display). I see this behavior with a full battery, low battery, any light condition...basically it's random. Has anyone experienced this? Suggestions?

I had a similar problem with my S100 because I took it apart three times to fix it. I found that the ribbon cable connecting the display was slightly cracked because I had been bending.

I can't say if your problem is related, but you might have an electronics-savvy friend crack it open and take a look at it. If you have an electronics-savvy friend that you trust to open your camera..
