When deleting RAW files in DPP (digital photo professional) 1.6, the corresponding *.THM files are left in the folder.

The new Microsoft RAW viewer also suffers from the same problem.

How do other RAW processors deal with *.THM -files? Of couse, this looks like a minor problem, but in a long run a big number of small files will waste a lot of disk space and resources.

These kind of traps should not exist and they should be fixed asap.

I've always deleted both files manually from "open" dialogue boxes and have never let a program delete them.

To delete CRW or CR2 files manually you need to know the file names (eg. write them down to a separate paper) unless you have the thumbnails of Microsoft RAW viewer available!

It's much more convenient to delete from a program diplaying thumbnails than using windows explorer.

It's PITA to manually select two files to delete when a program could easily do the job for you. Computers and software should make things easy, there must not be any kind of limitations to any workflow method.

How do other RAW converters deal with *.THM files?
