Is there anyone that has any experience with online photo market places as colourbox? http://www.colourbox.com/

Where you can upload youre photos and let them be solled.

I am considering doing that, but would like to know from people that have experience before I start uploading stuff. I guess that there is lots of things that are small printed on those cind of online marketplaces...

There is mybe lots of threads about this already, but I couldn't find any on the search words I tested out. Would be great if there was a sticky thread about this...

So, the question is; is there any online marketplace for stock photo that any of you recomend, and opposite, is there any such places that are totaly bad for me as photographer.

When uploading photos on such places, what is the disadvantage, is there any thing I need to be careful about...

ok, I guess, I would like any cind of information and are so unexperienced about this that I are also not aware on what cind of questions that I should ask.

Afther reading a bit more, I am a bit uncertain about this place. They say on the opening place, that the photographer earn about 50% of the income from each downloaded image, wich would give around 20 euro for each photo. But, when reading the small text, it seams like the photographer only will get 0,2 euro for each photo.... :(. Ok, is there any such marketplace, that any of you could recomend?

It would definently be a nice way of earning some money on my own photos.

I don't have any experience of colourbox, but I use Fotolia and iStockphoto.

iStockphoto has far more hits, they are rather fussy about the pic.s that they will take. Fotolia, has less hits and its easier to get the pic.s accepted.

There are lots of photo agencies.

have been reading through alot of those pages today, there is another world of potensial tricky things in this market. It is really not to just log in and sell, the whole copyright, model and property release, payment, pricing, is just bringing me more questions than answers.

What is youre experience from selling on those pages? What would be the most important thing to think through before I give any of those the right to sell my pictures? It would be great if anyone with experience in this stockmarket would make a sticky overview on things to be beware off before uploading photos on stock...
