Hi gang,

I need to transport a Manfrotto 190CX3 + Kirk BH-3 ballhead around, and I have an Airport TakeOff roller bag that I want to mount my tripod bag to.

Can a Bazooka (the smallest) fit it AND attach to my roller bag? The setup's about 65+ cm long, and I'm not sure about the diameter.

Also, I checked the bazooka in the store today. Why is it that I can fully pull out the interior section? it seems to get stuck just as there's this sewn-in hookable area juts out. Any ideas?

Cheers,
Zexun

I keep my 190CXPRO3 tripod with RRS head and clamp in a Bazooka.

Although I haven't actually tried to mount it to the roller, it is designed to be compatible with the Airport International (and Takeoff). It can be adjusted to the desired length and then the carry strap is adjusted to "lock" it in that position.

Ah I see. So the bag is thick enough and long enough to fit my setup.

I'll get it soon. Thanks!

I'd definitely ask if the smaller bag will fit. I have the 190XB with 488RC and I think I got the smaller bag, I think. But make sure. I love my bag and use it and store the tripod in it.

My 190CXPRO3 slides right in to the smallest Bazooka without any problems and fits snug as I would like. With the RRS ballhead and lever clamp the Bazooka is extended out about 1/2 way and measures about 26" (66cm) on the outside.

The inner loop of the carry strap is secured at the bottom (sewn) and a slide clip is at the top which allows you to tighten the strap to the working length of the bag. The outer loop of the strap which returns to the bottom attach point can be as loose as you like to carry over your shoulder and has a clip release so it can be opened to place around something.

This length adjustment prevents the bag from sliding further open from where you set it, but when the tripod is removed, the bag can be collapsed down fully to minimize storage space while empty.

If your tripod is the same size, just AL instead of CF as mine, I don't think you will have a problem with it.
