Both are located near Crested Butte, CO, which is the wildflower capital. The old one is nothing now but memory and a collapsed foundation. The new one has the nicest back yard I can imagine.

Thanks, Sandy & Joe. Yep, even after a couple weeks in Co, I still feel winded more than normal. Even bending low for a flower close-up will push air out of my lungs, then there are the hikes up an incline. We just take it slow and easy. All this beautiful scenery makes it worthwhile.

Stan could you give me a bit of detail how you used the CV with this shot?
I just recieved one the other day and would love to get results like this.

I appreciate all the feedback. Dan, I keep the polarizer on most of the time. Before the shot, I rotate it to see when the sky is darker and the clouds have better definition. In all honesty, I sometimes forget to rotate the CPL, so it doesn't always improve the results. It does make my photos a little darker overall, but PSE3 takes care of that.

Thanks Stan, Are you shooting in RAW or using JPEG?

I tried RAW for a while, but became overwhelmed at the possibilities, so switched back to jpeg. I may lose a few shots this way, but my work flow is very consistent and my CF card holds a lot more.

Thanks Stan, I am going to try shooting some RAW and see what kind of results I can get. I am trying to stick with shooting in AV as I think I am starting to see some improvement in my skills.
