PW Controll TL Remote Camera Help

hey guys
im trying to use my Tl's with my second body to run as a remote however I'm having real issues getting it to work.

this is what I do

Plug camera into lead and lead into Flex

turn Flex on

Turn Camera On

when I press the test button on the mini the light on the back of the flex flashes (red) and sometimes the camera will focus.

but i can never get it to fire

The FlexTT5 is not the best RF remote for triggering remote cameras. Its forte is to control and trigger remote EX flashes in E-TTL mode. But that's not to say that you can't use the FlexTT5 to remotely trigger your camera because you can. But first, using the PW Utility, you need to configure the FlexTT5 to either Basic Trigger mode or Bottom Shoe Disable mode. However, there's a catch. When in Basic Triggering mode or when the bottom shoe is disabled, the FlexTT5 will not work in E-TTL mode so controlling and triggering EX flashes in E-TTL mode is will not be possible. It's one or the other. :|
