Got a good deal on a used (lightly) Canon XSi. I am very excited.
Here's a couple of my first shots. (I'm a complete NooB to SLR photography , so tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated)

Always good to see more Vancouverites take up the habit. My advice would be to stick to Av and Tv modes until you get a clear idea of the effect shutter speed and aperture have on the quality of your pics... it's more marked then on a bridge camera.

Then it's just a matter of avoiding LBA ;)

LBA.. you'll know it when you're there.

LBA

Lens Buy Addiction. The extreme desire to purchase additional camera lenses for a camera body. Often just a "phase" that is triggered by a particular event, but that will pass with time.

Usually affects prosumer and professional photographers after purchasing a new camera.

It's not a disease; it's a treatment. The proper name is Therapeutic Money Spending (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=TMS) (TMS), coined by our own Permagrin (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/member.php?u=70018).

I see what you mean by LBA. well, I'm over it now, and with minimal damage. I bought a Tamron 28-300 and a nifty fifty. Now I only suffer from L envy ;)
