This pot plant at my front door is well and truely dead, but it has several little paper wasp nests living among the bare branches so it stays.

These are a solitary wasp and it *appears* as if it is mum, daughter(?) and egg.

They are about 10mm long and the shot was taken using a 24-70L + 25mm extension tube and severely cropped.

Great photo! Now I understand why people say someone has a waist like a wasp.

There is a macro section?

*refreshes forum list page*

Realises why there have been so few macro shots posted in here lately!

We have many wasps, these are some of the more passive ones by the looks, they weren't too fussed with having a massive lens shoved in their face, although I have had memorable interractions with some of the less accepting wasps. :)

I like the photograph, but if they were on my plant they would have to go.
