Shoud we follow Canon's example and upgrade the title of this forum? I wonder how will it look three years from now.

Cheers,

Thomas

How 'bout this: Dump the D60, just like Canon did and add the D10 (after it proves itself, of course). We don't need more clutter. Right/Wrong?

I would call the forum "Canon EOS 1D and D30".

No matter how creative the Canon PR department ist, there are just two kinds of DSLR by Canon, the rest are just different flavours and evolutionary enhancements.

If someone were to name a forum about the two operating systems by Microsoft, he would call it "Windows 95 and NT", not "Windows 95, 95OSR2, 98, 98b, Me, - Windows NT, 2000, XP".

Ahhh I'm rambling from a soapbox.
But I'm just new to my D60 and don't need all this negative #@//%!

Have a filter on when reading posts. Just like you would talk to strangers on a street. :)

I agree that D30, D60, and 10D are iterations of the same camera. But 1-D and 1-Ds are different enough to deserve a distinction. Notice that G1, G2, and G3 all have separate forums. Why is that?

Because XP is a chimera of 95 and NT, with the problems of both, and of its own, I think it needs its own designation.

I've got an idea

Why not go for Digital SLR - that should cover things for a good few years.

I was serious about the title upgrade.
I really like this one. Good choice!
