Today was photo day for the Phillies, 6am setup time, 7am start time.
Lens seems to be front focusing which made it not so good of a day, least got keepers of everyone and nobody had all their shots screwed. Mark III with 24-105 f/4. 2 strobe/umbrella powered by battery packs. To my left in this lineup of photographers was Tom DiPace, who is a great photographer and one of my favorites for years; and to my right was Tomasso DeRosa who is again a great photographer though just getting introduced to his work.
Not sure how the exposure is being on a laptop, and the III exposure (histogram) kinda blows. Guessing a bit over.
Before anyone asks the watermark is obtrusive as possible for good reason!
#1 - Charlie was first of the day, the sun had not risen yet. Coaches are the easiest - 2 quick poses and done.

#2 - Good thing about these days is seeing the guys you covered "back when". Kyle could have taken a scholarship and been a star quarterback, he chose baseball and got to cover him for a few years when starting his pro career in the low minors.

#3 - Thinking of things for these guys to do can be difficult, and personally have no need for the hold the bat out, follow through, etc. shots. Though probably should (never know), just didn't do them today.

#4 - This one is a little oof as the focus hit the bill, but shows the reason I was trying to use a low DOF (the background nice and blurry)

#5 - Sky was cloudy but knew I was going to do this shot with him either way.

#6 - Chase has always been good with me, and always nice to see these guys after a good amount of years remember the good ol' days in the minors. Shot Chase when he first signed professionally, literally about a minute after he put on his first pro uniform (Batavia Muckdogs) so we could get it in the card set.

#7 - Exposure looks weird on this laptop...but I liked how this looked. Ry has one of the best smiles in baseball, which he did for the other shots.

#8 - Ideas to have these guy do poses runs out quick, apparently something over my shoulder is interesting....is to me, I told him to look that way.
