Just looking to find out how serious you guys are about photography as a job. Vote in the poll!

I don't think my answer is listed above. I'm a graphic designer by profession but I do take and use a lot of my photography in my graphic design work. So as photography is not a full time job for me, it is a major part of my job. Not sure how that would fit into the choices above.

I chose option #3 because I am retired and shoot when I want to for a couple of online websites.

I need another category. My primary job is non-photo related but i am the resident photog here so i do quite a bit of shooting.

Unfortunately I don't make enough money or have enough work dates for it to be considered it to be considered a full time job.

I shoot for kicks - nothing else.

I would love to make something towards the gear that I have bought just to make things more affordable but I cant see it ever being the motivating factor behind shooting.

I've got a good paying day job with benefits and retirement.

I'm good with it staying a hobby--all things considered. ;)

It's not my career per say. I have a day job but yeh I also make money doing photography. I guess it might be my career one day but I'm still young.

Not my real carreer at this moment, but I am educated into one if all goes as planned. I also have made money of it so far.

I occasionally have to take photographs as part of my "day job", and I'm getting paid for doing it - but it's not a photography-related career, per se. Does that still count? :p

Nah - I voted 'D'. Like Dave Kadolph said, I've got a decent-paying day job with benefits and retirement. I guess I'm an okay enough photographer, but to be brutally honest, I don't think I have the business/entrepreneurial acumen to make it my full-time/main career. There's a definite difference between taking good photographs and making a living from taking good photographs!

How does that saying go?

This is a non-profit business, it was't intended as such, it just ended up that way. :D

I have a full time job but make nearly as much part time in photography with a lot less work currently.

It's not my career, but I do make some money off of it on the side.
