Well This is funny because there is another NFG set below me on this section of the forum.

Anyways, have always been close with the guys of NFG and when they let me know they were coming around to Boston I was obviously down to shoot. Luckily because of this I had all access and the "3 song" rule was non existent for me.

I also had all access but had to abide by the 3 song rule since Starland has a house photographer who shoots the whole show and I dont think they like anyone else to. My all access allowed me on stage but I felt strange walking up so I stayed just off the stage on the side.

You were in a much bigger venue than I was as Starland used to be a dance club. Tough band to shoot but fun when you nail it.

I'd love to shoot on stage. Do you know if HOB's photo pass are all-access?? I'm shooting Dashboard tomorrow and I'd like to know. Only time i went back stage was to interview a band but I was escorted in by one their people.

Haha. NO they're not. You need to get AA through the band or tour manager.

Yeah imagine that, man. If EVERYONE had all-access. That'd be a security concern for sure. It's all who you're working for and who you know.

I love shooting on stage. Going up and around behind the bands is a lot of fun :D

Great shots, very clean. Glad to see a good mix of lighting (colours wise) rather than the plain clean look just because it's a larger venue. Great angles in the shots.

2, 3, and 6 for me.

I like how in 2 you can see all of the crowd -- I find it hard to get crowd shots because often times there is no light on them Good capture!

Also, what lens did you use on 6. It looks almost like a fisheye, or is it just a wide angle?
