Hi All,

Nice! #s 2&3 are classic Neil Fallon.

How were they? I shot them yesterday at Soundwave - they were in devastating form; a definite highlight of the bill.

To be honest they were a little flat... I think a bit to do with the bass amp that mysteriously stopped working at the end of the second song and it took the roadies a few minutes to replace it. Also, Neil mentioned he had been to the zoo and was quite hungover :)

Still enjoyed it though and Neil's a pleasure to shoot!

How was Melb soundwave? Sydney was hot with no shade, traffic nightmares (i.e. 3 hours to exit the car park at the end of the night, apparently), little water and overflowing sewage!

Aside from some **** bands overall pretty good. I liked the lay out - it was stinking hot but there were no issues with water, sewage etc. I would have appreciated more shade. But the stages were set up so they were shaded - no shooting in direct sunlight which is a pleasure compared to the Big Day Out in Melbourne.

Clutch played their best show I've seen them put on, Janes Addiction were mind blowing and Faith No More damned fine - also very good, Eagles of Death Metal, Placebo and I was pretty impressed by Isis. Anvil and Anthrax were great fun. Jimmy Eat World, Sunny Day Real Estate, Meshuggah and Taking Back Sunday were absolute crap. AFI aren't my cup of tea but at least they put on a very good show.

Nice shots! I have been a Clutch fan since before they "made it". They are a local band for me. However I have been disapointed in all the live shows. The CD's are "Pure Rock Fury'... but live they have trouble...

That's bizarre. I've seen Clutch 6 or 7 times since 2006 and every live show has been stellar. I rate them as one of the best live bands in the world.

I really enjoyed Placebo, Jane's Addiction and Meshuggah... the rest of the bands later in the day I could pretty much take or leave - not my cup of tea.

I missed Isis on the day but went to the Sideshow and they were awesome. First time I've managed to see them and they blew me away. One of the best gigs I've seen in a long time!
