Bald Eagle

Below are 2 of the pics I took at a Falconry display at one of our local parks by the Cheshire Falconry Centre.

Holy crap that's a huge bird! You can't really tell with things sometimes until you see it in perspective.

That bird is only 9 months old and full grown, weighs about a stone (6.3 Kg).

That was my first thought.. I've seen them wild around where I live, but once you see them next to a person you get an idea of scale !

That looks more like a Golden Eagle then a Bald...nice shot regardless :)

So that makes him an immature bald eagle, his white has not come in yet :)
