A80 problem

HELLOOOO,

My A80 cannon camera's battery door won't close right when there are batteries are inside of the camera due to my lack of awarness when i accidently knocked it off of a tabel. I called your represenative and he said the minimum amount to fix it would be 130$. I called Ritz and they said the minimum to fix it would be around 45$. When i finished talking to him i looked in the cannon box and found a paper saying something about a warenty. Am i liabel for this even though my mom didn't buy insurence on the camera?:lol:

Probably since the warrenty doesn't cover dropping. If it is brand new though maybe you can return it and say it came like that when you got it?

The batteries on the A series have to be pushed down with the door and then slid into place. It is rather difficult if you don't know. Sorry to hear about your bad luck.
