My first time posting anything so forgive me if the pictures are too big etc
Photos taken at Zeltweg in Austria this year. Nothing drastic done to them in Photoshop apart from some cropping ( which is about all i can do!! )

Hi Andy, Welcome to the forum. You're RIGHT, the photos are a tad on the large size, but look good from what I can see. ;)
There is a photo posting tutorial as a sticky thread somewhere that you might want to have a look at. I'll see if I can find it for you.
Edit; Have a look here for starters, http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=64326&highlight=photo+size+posting

The first 1st pic posted looks sharp, but the resized pic is falling apart. You may have used a lot of compression on it?
It does get easier as you go! ;-)

Two excellent shots mutilated by jpeg artifacts. My guess is that you compressed them originally to get under the 100kb limit, then responded to the suggestion to make them smaller.
If you resize them first, you won't need to compress them as much. It does take some practice. Keep at it!:)

I was using an EOS20D with a 300mm f2.8 canon lens set at 1/2000 Tv mode. The actual aperture was f2.8 on the image data file.
I've had yet another go at re-sizing and i am slowly getting the hang of the simple things in Photoshop Elements 2.
