First 2 pics & I'm impressed!

Just thought I'd share my very first 2 pics with my lovely new G3 - taken straight out the box, up to the garden, snap snap, in to the card reader & hey presto - one satisfied customer! Pretty impressed with the zoom, I've circled on the 1st pic where I zoomed in so you can get an idea of the zoom qualities of this camera! Looking forward to a weekend of shooting, just gotta get myself a nice bag now!

Did you use a telephoto lens? If not, what's the magnification on this two shots? 14x? (combine digital and optical?) Nice shots...

Yes the 2nd shot was with the 14x combined - like I say I'm really pleased with the quality of the zoom! I think I'm going to love like this camera. I've just ordered the Canon G3 camera bag, the US version as the UK one is a bit flimsy looking! I think I might get myself a 2nd battery if I can find a bargain on eBay?
