Ok ... not my greatest composition ever but I've been trying to get a decent shot of the head area of the Helmeted Guineafoul for about 5 years so I could fugure out what it was 'made' of :lol: We used to see them a lot in South Africa and Namibia, but they were always on the move, in and out of grass and bush and generally bobbing around like mad, so trying to get any kind of half decent, sharp shot had proved 'difficult'!!
So, was pleased to see a few running around at Longleat this weekend. Still hard to capture in detail, but managed a few lucky shots. Not the best lookin' bird around ... but kinda interesting. I seem to remember them having more blue to the head in the wild tho'. Is there a more plug ugly bird around?
