WOW! I'm so jealous! your pics are so nice and sharp and so close!!!
are they cropped copies? (i'm trying to get an idea of how close these lenses can get)

I missed that eurofighter :-( i was walking back towards my car to download the pics and clear my CF card to my laptop when they flew it!

ah you really need another card :)
they were quite close but some needed the 1.4 coverter so that make's the lens around 546mm with the 1.3 crop the first shot almost filled the frame, the seconed about 1/6th of the frame.
with your zoom at 300mm and the 1.6 crop you would reach 480mm so you would not be far short.

heh - yeah, i need another card! or a portable storage! i will be getting another card soon..maybe a 1 gig.
i've not received my tamron 28-300 yet..but i know it's been delivered. cant wait for the next airshow.i'm going to a show in yorkshire next month..can you provide the exif on the first pic you posted? i'm interested to know what settings you used. thanks
