crane fly?

Hi all think this one might be a crane fly. I need to buy a bug identification book. Any sugestions would be welcome, UK bugs, preferably a pocket sized one.

Yep it is a cranefly....well i think it is anyway...!!?? The shot is good but just a little pointer, did you run it through any editing software, its a little too bright, soft edges and not enough saturation, its bacically a little flat. Don't get me wrong it is a good shot but a little TLC in something like Photoshop CS or something similar would've made it a better shot. So what i have done is run through Photoshop CS2 myself to see if could improve it, i hope you don't mind....:D ;)

Thanks its sharpened up great ill have to practice my photoshop. Not only do i have to learn macro but photoshop aswell. LOL

Good luck in the macro world, since getting my G6 it has opened up a whole new world for me, i was a 35mm photographer for many many years then last November i got my new toy and havn't stoped since. Keep an eye out for some great shots that people upload on this forum you'll learn a lot and be inspired...!!:D :lol: ;)
