I took this the other day when it was snowing, C&C welcome.

I really like this shot a lot! Any way you could clone the power line above out though? Also, what did you use to cover your camera from the snow?

This is very well seen and captured.

I agree about removing the power line and I'd also drag the bottom right corner in a tad to get the rails hitting symetrical points at the bottom of the frame.

Good (tilted) shot. Needs a train? ;)

Is the signal tower actually crooked or does this need a bit of rotation counter clockwise?

Nox Noctis

I tried to straighten the horizon, but the signal towel is crooked,

I rotated it while playing....it looks better with the tower vertical.

Personally, if I were to rotate it to straighten the signal, I would want to see the crop of the right side pulled back out a bit to center the tracks in the frame... but that is just me. Love the shot! What part of WV are you from?

Really a cool shot! But like jdrtumpet1 said, first straighten it, then clone, then crop. Hopefully you still have the original, camera version and can start all over again.

Why would it matter what steps I do first? jdrtrumpet1 I am from Ranger, WV.

Straightening is the true key because it's essentially a cropping action. When you straighten, you lose pixels.

Sometimes a little straightening tweak can be all the "crop" you really need. If you crop first and then straighten, you might end up losing 1s and 0s twice.

BTW, your final edit really got this dialed in. Print It, Hang It, Enjoy It...

The last edit is great. I liked to original a lot, it's nice the wires were easily cloned out.
