Beautiful shots. :)
The guy seems a little tensed ( just seems to me :) )
The lady portrait ( and the lady herself ) is absolutely superb.

The girl is beautiful, and it's a great shot. The guy looks tense, not relaxed at all, and the background isn't quite right. Photos of people with dark hair need to be on a light background, or in a studio can use a hair light to seperate the person from the background. If he'd stood a meter to his right it would have been a bit better :)

Thx for this very usefull comment!
That's the way i like it :)
I'll post anther one later, where i payed more attention to the background...
Weird that he looks tensed, cause he was very relaxed.. But hey, if you guys think he looks tensed, that's the way people see it.. so that's what's important.
Thx!

What Tim said.
The girl portrait is very nice, maybe a bit of fill flash/reflector might have helped to remove some of the shadow.
Best regards,
Andy

The first shot is great, can't see anything to criticise at all, the second as mentioned the background is a neagtive.......the pose looks fine to me, he just looks pretty confident, like a serious kind of guy.

#1 is very nice, but I could do without the roof running into his ear. Can you bring out a bit of detail in his sweater?

Two great shots IMHO - funnily enough, I actually like the background in the second shot. - but what do I know?

Like others, I feel the background of #2 stands out and at least needs to be blurred if not changed. #1 is really nice. Cloning out the short threads in her garment would make it even better. Good work!

just my impression, but the guy looks very urban with his black turtleneck, shiny watchband, fancy belt, white shoes, slick stuff in his hair and carefully groomed beard -- so he doesn't seem to match the hay, dirt and shed in the background. Maybe that's the source of the tension some perceive. Same pose in front a graffiti-marked old wall and he might look more in his element.
and I agree with everybody else -- #1 is a great shot.

Great photo in #1, but I don't particularly like the crop near the top of the head.
