I had read alot of good things about Canons 85mm f/1.8 USM lens and I wanted another good prime lens for portraiture in addition to the 50mm f/1.4 USM I already had. Both B&H and Adorama sites showed "backordered", but Norman Camera showed it in stock, which I verified with an email. I hadn't ordered from Norman Camera before, but had read some reviews which were favorable for them. So the order got placed and it was delivered in a matter of a couple of days via Fedex. I only wish Canon's rebate for this lens would be this quick. The lens was boxed well and had plenty of peanuts for cushioning. Norman Camera is now on my list of acceptable vendors.
I've been shooting a variety of subjects just to make sure all works OK. From what I've shot so far the lens is super sharp and has a pleasing bokeh. I believe it's going to be an excellent addition to the family.
