I have no clue! But I did catch these reindeers crossing a dirt road today. I could only take them backlit, but it sort of adds to the effect, even if the image looks a bit washed out.

Very nice capture, Petra. How far away were you from them?

Thank you!!!
guitarman3, well I had only my "walk around" lens, the Tamron 28-75/2.8 so I was pretty close. They were startled by me though (hence them running away). I was beating myself for not bringing the 80-200/2.8 L with me, but we were just out for a ride and I wasn't really planning on finding something to photograph. I just bring the camera along, just in case. :D

Run, run Rudolph,

Chuck Berry. :-)
Nice shot. Great light.

Thank you guys!! It was just luck that I had the camera with me (and unlucky I had left the bag at home with all lenses) :D

Being backlit adds depth and without it they would look rather dull, good work.

That is a really beautiful shot Petra! I think the backlighting actually makes the photo very nice too. Good thing you had your camera! :)
