Attempt two using new b800. Really new to off camera flash.

Nicely done! No shadows and very even lighting. A bit flat, though. The plant does not pop off the page.

A bit too much contrast for me, with the background going from WHITE in the center to dark gray at the edges. You're trying to bring focus to the plant, not the background.

Good feedback above. Also, a little more light on the vase... it works in well with the plant, is appropriately muted in colour, and need not be further diminished in your presentation.

Cheers,
Tony

Really great feedback above. Can I ask what I would I would have to do to make the plant " pop off the page"

Great Shot! My only suggestions are to apply more light to the base so you can bring out some of the detail. Not sure what kind of look you're going for but I would bring out the color a bit more, it does look a little flat. Also, maybe a better platform to put the plant on. When I see the white cloth over the table presentation, I think ebay photo. I know I'm weird but these are the details I look at. But overall, you have a great shot there! :-D

Thanks, I was messing with the shot and maybe over did the vingette. It definately darkened the pot. I'm kinda looking for it to look "less flat," more 3D
