The Anna's Hummingbirds have been fighting for territory where I live. They're really pretty insane fighting, making noises, chasing each other. It is kind of funny because I can watch them fly by, turn the corner of the building, then hear them behind me in the courtyard - and if I wait a second, they come back around the other corner. It's like the Indy 500 of screaming little missiles doing laps around the apartment.

This guy won the trees in front of my balcony and is the proud owner of me & the feeder.

Looking a little irritated, but still showing off for the camera:

very nice shots. Hummingbirds are very difficult to capture since they tend to be very skiddish. They seem a bit underexposed though, and a either the lense is very soft or they're a touch out of focus. Still very nice captures!!

Spectacular. #2 is the only one on my screen that looks a little soft. I agree a couple could use a little boost of exposure in a raw program to bring out the detail in the darker areas. All in all, this is a remarkable series of photographs.

Very nice shots.
I have feeders all around my back yard and I've only seen one this year. What can I do to attract more hummers?

Thanks everyone! Now if the little bugger would just sit out in the sunlight instead of the shade...
