Hi everyone.

Awhile ago I posted some pictures when I had just started out. The reaction I got was something like that they were good but flat because I didn't have a lot of shadows in them and I used my flash. Ok. I've been working on that and I would like some CC on these photos. Just be nice because I can't help but take it personally. LOL

One you'll notice I've really doctored up. I like a lot of contrast and this is one of my daughters so that's why it's like that. I'll post the original, too. I call it "Please God, don't let me trip."

I have to add that they are much clearer in real life but in order to get them on the forum at 150 I had to make the quality low. I should have maybe just made them smaller . So please excuse the blurryness.

Beside the blurry thing you all ready covered I really like it I love it in black and white.

I would recommend that you study some basic lighting technique, so that you have a methodical approach to lighting. There is an abundance of online material to get you started. One really good site that I have enjoyed is www.strobist.com. This site is geared toward educating the beginning photographer who has a very limited budget and equipment collection - although it continues to benefit even the more advanced photographer. Also, there is a huge community of "strobists" that you can go to for more advice - and a thriving "strobist" community on www.flickr.com.

I love the shadows and contrast in the edited image. Maybe just try to color the whole shoe instead of just a little? The part that is close to her hand is still in b/w.

Keep going!
