I had a rubber dolly and I gave her the 4th of July as her birthday
so as I would never forget it

the dog too

she was a stray over seven years ago and as the vet said she was about five or six months old when she 'arrived' (Dec)
( followed me across the plains) I gave her the 4th of July for her birthday....

Thanks Marie.

We took our almost 3 year old grandson to the firework show tonight. He was so afraid of the big booms and bangs we had to leave. He had told us he was afraid of fireworks but I thought he would get over it and enjoy the show.

Maybe next year.....

I can imagine it was a bit terrifying for him alright Maureen
must have been hard leaving but for the best.

hope he slept well after and did not think too much about the noise

Thank You.
:) Amazing how international this community is: how small the world has become; how vast people's hearts can be.
Happy 4th everyone!
Nice pics Marie, Sandy.

Well it's kind of a big deal to us, It's when we won our hard fought independence from Great Britain way back in 1776. Been celebrating ever since.

Thanks, Marie, for remembering us with this thread. We just watched a spectacular fireworks display here in the mountains that surround Ouray, CO. We missed the parade, firehose battles and other festivities, as we were jeeping over three mountains and seeing some of the most fantastic scenery. Photos will eventually follow. Happy 4th everyone.
